Low income senior citizens reminded of discount

Savannah Electric reminds low income senior citizens that they may be eligible for a $10.50 per month discount on their electric bill.

Customers over age 65 and with annual household income of $14,000 or less, should call the company’s toll-free number at 1-800-437-3890 or visit one of the company’s customer service offices (128 E. Broughton St., 5500 Abercorn in Twelve Oaks or, M,W,F only: 149 Power Co. Rd. off Highway 119 near Springfield).

Customers may also receive enrollment assistance from Senior Citizens, Inc. and the Economic Opportunity Authority’s Retired & Senior Volunteer Program.

During July 2003, this information is repeated in the small newsletter included in customer bills.
