The Savannah Electric storm team assisting with recovery from Hurricane Isabel, returned to Savannah last weekend. After more than two weeks away from home, the crews were released from their last assignment with Dominion Virginia Power on Friday, October 3.

The 18-member team left Savannah on Thursday, September 18 and began work in Maryland on Saturday, September 20. They were released by the Maryland utility and reassigned to Virginia on Friday, September 26.

The team received numerous compliments from area residents in Maryland and Virginia and the company is also receiving postcards and e-mail “thank-you” messages from the region.
