Savannah Electric has become aware of several recent incidents where customers have received phone calls or visits from people posing as Savannah Electric employees.

According to reports, the individual will claim a need to enter the customer’s home.

The company warns customers to be wary of any such phone call or visit where the caller requests access to the residence. With very few exceptions, our employees do not need to go inside a customer’s home.

All Savannah Electric employees carry a photo ID card with company logo. Many employees who conduct fieldwork also wear a uniform style of clothing with company logo or drive a company vehicle. Customers should also call 1-800-437-3890 if they have any question about an employee’s identity or need verification of any service initiated by an employee or someone claiming to be an employee.
