Mississippi Power to move Laurel customer service office

Mississippi Power’s Laurel customers will soon be able to do business with the company in newer surroundings.

On September 29, the company is moving its downtown Laurel customer office to 108 Mason Street across from Sawmill Mall. The new office will feature increased floor space and parking for customers.

“The new office brings together all of our Laurel employees to better coordinate service for customers,” said Dwight Evans, Mississippi Power’s president and chief executive officer. “The move improves our efficiency, but also demonstrates our commitment to downtown Laurel.”

Mississippi Power has been in the three-story Oak Street building since 1926. The two-story Mason Street location will contain all customer service and accounting, line crew, engineering, marketing, security and administrative functions.

Office hours will continue to be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can continue to reach Mississippi Power 24 hours a day by calling
