Alabama Power launches Web site for the Spanish-speaking community

Alabama Power has created a Spanish-language Web page on the company’s Internet site to help reach the state’s growing Hispanic population.

The Web page, www.alabamapower.com/spanish, provides Spanish-speaking consumers with information about the company’s services and products, as well as tips about how to save on energy costs. Consumers can also access a Spanish-language video with details about company services.

“We now have a new way to provide important information to our Hispanic customers. Providing quality service and products to all of our customers is vitally important to us, and this Web page is another positive step in making that possible,” said Myrna Pittman, vice president of Customer Services.

Spanish-speaking customers who have questions about Alabama Power can also contact the company via e-mail through the Spanish-language Web page and receive responses to their questions in Spanish. Customers can also call the company’s customer service line at 1-800-245-2244 and request information in Spanish.
